Environmental Illness & Chemical Sensitivities
The chemicals in our environment build up in our bodies a little at a time. When the body cannot get rid of them fast enough it sends us signals in the form of symptoms.
What are some symptoms of chemical overload?
Headaches, breathing problems, intestinal problems, memory loss, flu-like symptoms, dizziness, mental confusion, fatigue, depression, exhaustion, persistent skin rashes and sores, muscle weakness and joint pains, inflammation, persistent infections, visual disturbances, autoimmune disorders, irritability, sleep disturbances, backaches, swollen limbs, poor coordination, rapid or irregular heart beat, migraines, chronic sore throat, earaches, post-nasal drip, and ringing in ears to name a few.
What products cause Environmental Illness?
Some of the worst and most common are:
- particle board & new building materials and furnishings
- clothes that have been dry-cleaned
- MSG -- other names: Monosodium glutamate, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, Chinese seasoning, hydrolyzed plant protein
- plastics (the softer the worse they are)
- cosmetics, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste
What common chemicals cause problems?

What can I do about Chemical Sensitivity?
- First of all, stay away from these chemicals as much as you can.
- Learn about them and what products contain them. Pay attention to which chemicals make you feel worse.
- Detoxify your liver and kidneys so they can help you get rid of the chemicals. (Eat lots of apples and garlic. Drink lots of pure water.) Liver Doctor -- an outstanding site.

Heavy Metals
Heavy metal poisons tend to build up over long period of time. Probably just about everyone has a higher level of heavy metals than they should. For some people it can be one of the things that block the unloading of the other problems until it is dealt with.
Mercury
Mercury toxicity can contribute to allergy problems. It causes symptoms similar to Chronic Fatigue. The most common source of mercury problems is dental fillings. I have heard many favorable recommendations for a book called Its all in Your Head detailing problems with dental amalgam fillings.

Cure for the Common Cold, Flu, and Sinus Trouble.
Take a steaming hot bath - as hot as you can stand it.
Put in 2 tablespoons of crushed garlic, it will absorb through your skin.
2 Cups of apple cider vinegar, it helps balance your blood pH.
Stay in the bath for at least 1 hour. Drink a cup of hot water with 1 table spoon of apple cider vinegar, one table spoon of honey and a bit of lemon if you like. Be sure you are sweating a lot.
After you get out put on some warm pajamas and go to bed.
Do not eat sugar, white flour, meat, or MSG for the next three days. If you do your bug could come back with a vengeance. Try to eat mostly raw fruits and vegetables.
For extra insurance eat garlic, and drink orange juice.
