Yeast
Healthy intestines have over 150 different types of bacteria and yeast growing in them. 1 out of 3 people have an imbalance in their "gut flora." This can cause various seemingly unrelated physical problems
What are some symptoms of yeast problems?
Hormonal imbalances, cold hands and feet, diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia, hypothyroidism, low body temperature, bad breath (halitosis), bloating, white coating on the tongue (oral thrush), constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, gas, heartburn, Indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, allergy, blurred vision, bronchitis, chemical sensitivity, chest pain, earaches or pressure, hayfever, headaches, hives, muscle aches and tension, nasal congestion, painful swollen stiff joints, sinusitis, sore throat, ADD, depression, anxiety, disorientation, drowsiness, feelings of unreality, frequent mood swings, hyperactivity, inability to concentrate, insomnia, mental confusion, Multiple Sclerosis, muscle weakness, poor memory, acne, athlete's foot, dermatitis, dry skin, Eczema, excessive perspiration, facial rash, fungus infection, hives, lupus, kidney infection, bladder infection, endometriosis, fluid retention, recurrent yeast infections, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia.
This probably just looks like a list of random medical problems that are stuck together. That is what I thought until I went on a yeast free diet for about a month. It cleared up everything from the ringing in my ears to my acne. Keep reading to get a better understanding of how a little bit of fungus can cause all these problems.
What waste products are released by Candida?
Some of them are:
- Acetaldehyde - which disrupts fatty acid oxidation and production, causes abnormal behavior, memory loss, distorted thinking, mood swings, depression, impared intellectual functioning, and emotional disturbances. It is also causes muscle weakness, irritation, and pain.
- Ethanol - which can cause symptoms of alcohol intoxication.
- Formaldehyde - produces a long and serious list of symptoms that are listed in the chemical section of this site.
Molybdenum (a mineral) breaks down these waste products so they can be excreted. It is found in grains, beans and peas.
What causes a yeast imbalance?
- Antibiotics -- they kill off the good bacteria that eat the bad yeasts. This allows the bad yeast to take over.
- Sugar and a high carbohydrate diet.
- Toxic metals - like mercury, lead, and aluminum.
- Toxic chemicals like formaldehyde.
- Tap water -- the chlorine can upset the yeast balance.
What are some natural fungisides?
(Things that kill bad yeast)
Garlic, turmeic, tea tree oil, hydrogen peroxide, olive oil, rutabaga, oregano, onions, and grapefruit seed extract -- I think it is best to eat the grapefruit with it's seeds - the way God made it. You don't need to worry about the cyanide in seeds; it is bonded and will not harm you unless you eat way to many seeds. I think that is why the Creator put a few little tiny seeds in a large fruit. That way you eat them in moderation. The cyanide unbonds to attack cancer cells.
Yeast elimination diets.
When I went on a yeast free diet I fasted for the first few days. I think that helped quite a bit but it made the first week pretty rough because it got rid of the yeast so fast.
Recipies to try while you are on a yeast free diet.
What are common symptoms of die off?
headaches, nausea, loose stools or diarrhea, bad breath, flu-like symptoms, and rashes.
Remember, all this stuff is a good sign that your system is getting cleansed.
Tips
- Be sure to drink lots of water.
- It is estimated that it takes a month of recovery for every year that you have has yeast problems.
- Yeast can develop a resistance to a substance trying to kill it after about 7 days so if you are going to use commercial products it is a good idea to rotate them under a doctor's supervision.
- Don't drink caffeine. It kills the good bacteria.
Leaky Gut
Leaky gut is a condition where the intestinal walls begin to leak food particles and bacteria into the blood stream. The body produces antibodies to these foreign particles which often results in allergies and almost always accompanies yeast problems. Here are some links to give you more information about Leaky Gut Syndrome.
Colon Cleansing - If you are going to use a commercial product, this is the one I recommend. It is a bit expensive but I have heard several good reports about Dr. Schultz's products.
What heals the intestinal tract naturally?
Broccoli, red beets, dandelion, and asparagus.
It is usually recommended that you do a bowel cleanse along with getting rid of harmful yeast and toxins. I have not been able to find a good web site that gives the instructions for a bowel cleanse without buying their product. Here is a list of easily obtainable foods that help to cleanse the bowels.
What foods help cleanse the bowel?
Garlic, ginger, horseradish, onion, Cayenne pepper, alfalfa grass, wheat grass, beets, spinach, apples, high fiber fruits vegetables and grains, dandelion, cloves, rhubarb, and fennel.
Gluten Intolerance & Celtic disease
What are some of the symptoms of Gluten Intolerance and Celtic disease?
Chronic fatigue, weakness, dizziness, headaches, flu-like symptoms muscle and joint pains, numbness in hands and feet, asthma, sinusitis, allergies, irritability, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea, gas, and rashes.
Parasites
You are probably thinking, "I don't have parasites." Guess what, you probably do. About 85% of Americans have them. There are over 1,000 different types from amebas to worms. A lot of them cause symptoms that are very similar to Candidias and Chronic Fatigue.
How could I have gotten parasites?
By eating meat, by drinking or swiming in lake or pond water, walking on dirt bare foot, being licked by an animal, or even eating a salad. Eating unclean meat, any type of pork for example, is one of the easiest ways to get them.
